I am now a full time instructor for the Online Trading Academy.
I am a traveling instructor to all of the remote campuses.

Since taking the position, I have not been posting daily trades to the forex FCM's as I did before which is the reason for the inactivity of this blog.

The ISE has FX options on it's indexes which they wanted me to talk about during this webinar.
The ISE indexes are all dollar numerator based indexes which is the opposite of the spot forex pairs. The Tradestation symbols are $BPX.X, $CDD.X, $EUI.X, and $YUK.X.
There are options in Tradestation's Option Station, but I don't know if you can trade those options in Tradestation yet. The Yahoo Finance symbols are ^YUK, ^CDD, ^EUI, and ^BPX. You are suppose to be able to trade the options in a regular stock account instead of a forex account.

The low on Friday was 1.3392. If the EURUSD rallies above and closes above 1.3450, I will buy a pullback to 1.3450 for my next EURUSD long trade. I will short 1.3480 if the EURUSD opens above 1.3450 when my platform opens for trading on Sunday, and switch to a long at 1.3450. If the EURUSD opens near 1.3430, I will trade long there instead.

The USDCHF spiked down to the 1.2011 area and then reversed to the 1.2108 area which was the range I was looking to trade from Thursday. The 240 chart looks like there is a possibility of the USDCHF basing between 1.2056 and 1.2085 on Sunday for a breakout move higher. I will go long if the USDCHF pulls back to 1.2042. If the USDCHF does rally past 1.2085, and the 240 candle closes above 1.2085, I will take a partial profit at 1.2124 and move the stop loss to 1.2054.

There was no trade in the USDCHF on Friday. The NFP report pushed the USDCHF past the 1.2213 area of supply which had held it back for most of the week. There is an area of peak supply at 1.2245 that is not visible on these charts. I plan to short the first time up to 1.2245 for my next USDCHF trade. The first target will be 1.2213 which is now acting as support. The next target is 1.2166 which is where the breakout happened on Friday. I will use a sell stop to enter, and I will put the stop loss to entry once the USDCHF reaches the first target. If this is the beginning of a dollar move higher, the area of supply at 1.2245 will need to be absorbed, and the USDCHF will stay near it to absorb the supply before moving higher.I will use a 10 pip stop loss once the trade is entered and a 10 pip trailing stop in case that is what the USDCHF attempts to do.

The long trade in the EURUSD from the 1.3320 entry was closed on Friday at 1.3369. The stop loss could have been higher to lock in more profit on the original trade, or a bit lower to keep the long trade open. The 30 weighted moving average trailing stop loss would have closed you out near 1.3418 and, in the future, I will resume using that on part of the position. On the bottom, the 1.3375 area of demand extended down to 1.3360, so my stop should have been at 1.3359 instead of 1.3369. The 1.3320 long trade would still be open if that were the case.
The EURUSD is a classic example of supply at the 1.3440 level exceeding demand, and demand at the 1.3375 area exceeding supply. The EURUSD attempted to absorb the supply by basing for 9 hours near the 1.3440 area before slipping below 1.3421. Once that happened, the EURUSD based between 1.3412 and 1.3424 for another 9 hours until the NFP report. It rallied up to 1.3426 when the report was released, and then sold off to the 1.3375 area of demand. Once the EURUSD reached the 1.3375 demand level, the selling slowed, and the process of absorbing the demand at that price level began. The potential for a trend move results once an area of supply or demand is absorbed. If this 1.3375 area of demand is absorbed. the next area of demand is at 1.3356 followed by an area of demand at 1.3339. Neither of those areas is fresh, so a move lower is possible which will resemble a downtrend. On the flip side, any of those areas of demand could reverse the EURUSD higher with this 1.3375 area being the most likely to do so. If the EURUSD moves higher, I will trade the 1.3377 to 1.3414 range for the first part of next week since there will be areas of supply and demand to absorb at those price levels which will force the EURUSD into that trading range.

There was no trade entered in the GBPUSD on Friday. Since reaching the 1.9800 area of supply, the GBPUSD has been absorbing areas of breakout support and moving lower in the process. It is in a downtrend. Until we see the 30 weighted moving average on the 60 minute chart catch up to the trading range and flatten out, there is the potential for the GBPUSD to continue lower. There are no areas of peak demand that have the potential of reversing this downtrend until the GBPUSD reaches 1.9460 area. The 240 chart shows that the GBPUSD is sitting on a breakout support area at 1.9641 with the next one at 1.9570. If this 1.9641 area of support gives out, the area of breakout support at 1.9570 should produce a decent bounce ahead of that 1.9460 peak demand area. I will go long at the 1.9570 breakout support area if there is a sell off down to that level for my next GBPUSD long trade. I will short 1.9710 for my next short trade in the GBPUSD.

I will not buy the pullback to 1.2451 since it has been tested several times. The EURUSD long trade on a pullback to 1.2900 was entered on Friday morning twice. The first trade was stopped out for a 10 pip loss after entry, and the second trade was partially exited at the first target of 1.2932. The stop loss on the remaining position is at 1.2898 which is 20 pips behind the closing price of 1.2918. The 1.2957 second target is where I plan to exit half of the position. For the time being, I expect the EURUSD to trade in a big range between 1.3000 and 1.2870 while the US Dollar Index trades in a range between $85.40 and $84.00. The spike down to the 1.2870 area would have been a better entry based on the 240 minute chart. There is also a daily area of demand at 1.2850 which is the area I next plan to enter long if the EURUSD continues lower. Both the US Dollar Index and the EURO have fresh areas of supply and demand to trade between.

There was a long trade entered at 1.9328 yesterday that was a 72 pip winner and a short trade at 1.9400 that was a 10 pip winner. I was fortunate that the sell off above 1.9400 occurred early in the morning before the interest rate hike in the UK and that I was trailing my stop ahead of the decision. I don't pay attention to fundamental news as a rule. I am upset that I wasted a good entry for a long move at 1.9328. The sellers had been in control up until the UK rate hike. That surprise decision lead to a rally into the area of supply at 1.9530 and a pullback to the 1.9390 area for another long trade later in the day. The reason for the entry at 1.9390 was because that was the last place where the GBPUSD based ahead of the surprise decision and there were likely to be willing buyers the first time that the GBPUSD traded back to that breakout area. Anyone who follows on a regular basis knows that those pullback trades are the highest odds, lowest risk entries. The long trade will be held for a move back to the 1.9750 area with a wide stop.

There was a pullback long trade entered yesterday at 1.2940 early in the morning that was exited at the first target of 1.2989 and closed at 1.3000. The USDCHF has broken out of a 3 day trading range at 1.2134. Buy the pullback to 1.2134 if it happens. The range should be between 1.2134 and 1.2183.

The USDJPY is still trying to absorb the area of supply at 1.1910. It looks like a breakout past 1.1912 is setting up for a move to the 1.1950 area of supply.

I am looking to trade the 1.9494 to 1.9630 range in the GBPUSD when trading resumes after the holidays.

The EURUSD had a fairly steady Friday, and it never reached the top or the bottom of the 1.3129 to 1.3120 range for an entry. I see the EURUSD trading in a range between 1.3180 and 1.3274 next week once the area of supply at 1.3220 is absorbed.
That will be the range I look to trade when trading resumes after the holidays.
